I don't know if this is anything to be concerned about but usually when I start the engine (when it's cold or warm) it fires into life and the revs are around 1100rpm before settling down, depending on its temperature to around 700-750rpm. It sounds strong and powerful.
However, every now and then when I start the car, the engine fires but revs at a very low speed (500rpm) for a while before settling to its normal rpm after a while. During this time the engine feels weak and laboured as if it's struggling to 'stay alive'. It doesn't sound powerful. Perhaps all the cylinders aren't firing but surely that would throw up a CEL?
Is this something that my OPC should look at?
