The OPC have advised me that the temperature sensor in my PDK gearbox is faulty and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know where this is located and what the likely cost of replacement will be? (I'm hoping this will be covered by the Warranty). Is the temp sensor an integral part of the gearbox sump pan, requiring the gearbox to be drained and sump pan replaced? (I can't find a separate temp sensor listed on the Eurospares parts diagrams). I tried a Google and also searching on here but it's not that clear.

As far as I understand it's buried inside the gearbox - and it's one of the few things that Porsche will "open the box" to replace.
I really hope that it is covered by a warranty - I imagine this will be a lot of money.
Copy of a tech bulletin related to a failure message is here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iiemqDRLCtcguPooV5tTL8OUwdPQ7p8t/view?usp=drive_link
Why do they say it needs replacing - have you had any gearbox issues?

No, I haven't had any gearbox issues in the last 3000 miles / 3 months since I've owned the car. That said, this my first experience of PDK so I can’t compare it with another. The OPC were road testing after replacement of the ignition coils and AC condensers and I think they had a warning message come up which traced to a faulty gearbox temp sensor.
Thank you for the tech bulletin. I'll have a read of that.
