Thanks for the info Peter, not sure why Martin Nelson put those times but I'm sure there is a logic to it somewhere [;)]

Yep, the R21 dinner was great [:)]

You probably have read this from his e-mailout but just in case - here's Martin!

Here is a summary of R21's Christmas Dinner for those of you that could not make it or actually got there but can only remember the night as a blur of fun.

On arrival everyone received a randomly selected "Last Person Standing" card, their name-tag and a party hat. The most popular hats were the gold or silver tiaras and the gangster hats. Les McParland looked the part in his police hat and Angela Byrne set a dash in her black and white outfit with matching gangster hat.

At each dinner place setting there was a lovely china Porsche mug with the compliments of Porsche Centre, Hatfield. There were also party poppers and blowers to help increase the noise level. Tracy, Katie and Louise did a superb job of selling raffle tickets in order to raise an acceptable tip for the servers.

Dinner and wines were served without problems. The fine food and jovial conversation helped propel the evening towards our "Last Person Standing" game just before coffee. Everyone stood up and when their card was randomly pulled from the bag they sat down. Tension build as the numbers standing reduced and the prizes were...
£5 to Dave Smith for being first to sit down.
£20 to Carole Poynton for being 2nd from last to sit down.
£30 to Martin Nelson for being last to sit down.
£50 to Dave Campion for being last person standing.

During coffee the raffle was held. There were so many prizes thanks to the generosity of Perry Rob (PCH), Jonas Zambakides (JZM), PCGB, Jo & Robin Walker, Dave & Kate Smith, Ashley Miller and Martin Nelson. As a result there were too many winners to name here so I will only mention Peter Branch as he had the biggest smile picking up the 1:18 scale model of the Porsche 935 race car in JZM livery donated by Jonas.

Near the end of the evening Jo & Robin said some kind words of thanks and presented Carol and I with flowers and champagne.

Many thanks to all that helped make this a great night,
Martin
