I have been in communication with Martin and I have put together a run for 17th July---the initial meeting point will be the Little Chef outside of Skipton on the A59/A65 and from there on to Threshfield, Buckden, Aysgarth, Hawes, over Buttertubs pass to Thwaite down to the Moorcock Inn, back to Hawes then down towards the Ribblehead viaduct, through Horton in Ribblesdale to Settle and back to Skipton.
Peter Westwood from the Stone House Hotel---just north of Hawes-- has kindly agreed for club members to use the Stone House Hotel car park--the hotel is beautiful with fantastic vista's for the picnic. Peter is a PCGB member with a speed yellow 996 C4.
Please email me and I will send you a detailed itinerary and in a week or so--I will publish a guide with some local history and points of interest and visits along the route.
This is a trip not to be missed--it combines some stunning scenery with some of the best driving roads in the country sweeping bends, etc.--something for everyone. Oh and the lakes tour---the route just enters Cumbria at the top of the circuit--thereby qualifying as lakes.
It really will be something for everyone.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Steve
