Is it me? Delivery issues on new Boxster GTS

redone

New member
Why is it that on the few occasions I've ordered a new Porsche, it's always painful.
This time, I ordered a new Boxster GTS in April this year, in a special colour, Riviera Blue and was told it'd be Sept/Oct. This from a large OPC near Hatfield.
I did own at the time a lovely red Carrera Cab S, thinking I could get my new car in Sept, I sold it in the summer months (June).
Early Sept I was assured it'd be towards the end of Oct...early Oct I was told, after I enquired, that there was an additional 10 week delay on special paint cars!!
I have now been told it'll be delivered to the OPC around the end of Dec...I said I wanted it to be registered in 2016 if it was early Jan, but late Jan I'd wait until March for the new reg. They were rather annoyed about my suggestion, and said they wouldn't be happy with that. (Even during the ordering process I found it to be rather unpleasant, the dealer seemed more interested in selling me finance, bridge insurance, etc, etc than the actual car itself).
So, I'm still waiting...not really an enjoyable experience.
Ho hum.

They always say something good is worth waiting for, we can't even order one as the new 718 version of the Boxster is to be launched next year.

I'd tell them to shove it if they were unpleasant to me !! my OPC are superb so far in my early days of ownership greeted like a friend every time i visit coffee and biscuits etc..
