iPhone compatibility with (non-PCM) phone module on 987

I understand that the (non PCM) phone module is only designed to work with Nokia so you cannot upload contacts from an iPhone (although you can answer calls and manually dial).

Someone told me there is an app which will convince the module that the iPhone is a Nokia allowing contacts to be uploaded - anyone got any ideas what this might be?
