plenty of recommendations. Lockton Private clients are now a club sponsor. I use Porsche Insurance Services (Marsh) who always seem to be very competitive.
I tried manning good quote considering it was "unlimited" track use, but the excess was £1,500.00 on any track claim.
Just tried someone called Asset Trust the broker of choice at Tpiec without track day cover and it was £387.00, and all the underwriters are well known big names , I've got 12 days before renewal so at present it Asset Trust or I might put my hand in my pocket and go for the added track cover ?
Just filled in a quote request to Lockton, so we will see how it comes back, thanks for that.
Bob,
I think you'll find that for any insurer the excess for track use will be 10% of the car's value, so £1,500 is probably about right for your 987.
Also, with ManningUK if I was prepared to reduce my annual mileage from 5,000 to 3,000 I could have saved myself £100.
Jeff
Had the usual phone calls from brokers who had given me a quote previously checking to see if I'll be going with them, and when I tell them that I have had a lower quote it's amazing how they want to see if the can match and that they will get back to me.
A-Plan. Bletchley branch only 01908 271771 ( manager is a Boxster owner) £ 330.00, and try as I may I could not get anyone to beat this, and still offer quality fit for purpose cover, famous last words as someone will now !!!
If you are looking at renewal you will have to mention that you are a member of BoxA.net, so if you are not go and join as A-Plan are one of a few sponsors over there.

This is too good a deal not to share with you folks;
A-Plan. Bletchley branch only 01908 271771 ( manager is a Boxster owner) £ 330.00...
But that's with no track day cover, I assume? Does this mean you're not going to be tracking your Boxster at all now? Or are you going to wing it?
Chris.
