Insurance for 993s

Thinking of buying a 1995, C4
I am 36, car will be garaged.

Apologies if this has been a popular topic previously. I can get insurance via Swiftcover, fully comp for about £400 but need a tracker. I have had a 1995 TVR Chimaera before and was able to insure that for £230. Can anyone recommend a good insurance company for what I believe this 993 qualifies for: Classic Car insurance?

The car qualifies for a lot of the 'classic' policies being over 10 years old. You should be able to get insurance without a tracker. Have a browse in one of the specialist Porsche magazines like 911 World for insurers. Names that come to mind are Manning UK, Aon, Heritage, Performance Marque.

I am insured with Adrian Flux with limited mileage on my policy and valued at 26k. No tracker required. 1995 993 Cab under 400 pounds fully comp

You will find it hard to beat Hagerty's Classic Car Ins. They are based at Silverstone [link=http://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk]www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk[/link] Email enquiries@hagertyinsurance.co.uk I have a 1994 C2 agreed value £25000.00 and a 1995 BMW 840 Ci agreed value £5000.00 limited mileage 3000 miles each per annum both garaged, pjotos of car & garage required. I am in Cotswolds country location at WR12 7NE Accidental damage excees 993 is £250 840 Ci is £50 . The Premium incl Ins prem tax is £256.00 for the two. Higher mileage is of course available. Ultraman, it's a great car to buy! I am 5 years older than you with an AL1 postcode (St Albans). The car is garaged and currently restricted to 3,000 miles pa (second child not quite ready to go for long drives yet!) I am with Ann Manning - £550 excess, protected no claims, only me to drive. £375 which includes the tax and uninsured loss recovery I think a 5,000 pa limit was not too much more. The reason I went here was that you get free track day cover for Porsche Days + any ATDO or FAEO organised event ... but the excess goes up! ... enjoy checking the history before you buy ...

Thanks Guys. I was with Hagerty with my TVR so will give them a shout. Hopefully stay close to £200. Shane, may check Ann Manning when I decide to do track days [;)] (ps like your pic)

Thank you every body for all your help. I insured with Hagerty, fully comp for under £200 [:D]. Guess living in Croydon is less safe than the Cotswolds Michael. Yes this means I bought the car! I am now the proud owner of a 1995 C4. So my journey begins...

Somes like some good prices for low mileage use. I have a 993TT, valued at c£30k, insurured for 14k miles per year, fully comp, business use, Oxon postcode, and have just renewed for £440 from More Than. Saved nearly £100 on last years premium with the RAC. Policy details exactly the same - as wanted protected NCB, premium courtesy car. Think the excess is £350. I found More Than good for my wife's car, and a friends car s well.

Bit of an old thread this one but I referred to it before insuring my 94 cab this year. Eventually went with Admiral for about £150 with 10 years protected ncd, limited to 5000 miles pa and £250 excess. Agreed value at £50k. Admittedly, I'm 65 but happy there are some benefits of age!
