Inspection by specialist/forum member (NW area)?

Hi all

I'm thinking of buying a 924. I've seen a few nice ones for sale (both normal 2 litres and S's) but although I'll go armed with various buyer's guides I must admit that my complete lack of techincal background makes me rather scared I might end up with a dog [:(]. My plan therefore, is to have a car that looks and feels right to me checked out by an expert. The AA/RAC/Green Flag would be one possibility but I spose it's better to go for someone specialised in Porsches.

I'm in Liverpool and so the North West is my hunting territtory (at least in the first instance); now my question is whether anyone knows of a specialist in this area who does these kinds of inspections. Alternatively, would there be anyone sufficiently knowledgeable on this forum who would be willing to be bribed (with beer vouchers, single malt, or whatever [:D][:D]) into checking a car out with me some time soon? (My e-mail address is h_loos_2003@yahoo.co.uk)

Tx a lot in advance!

Hi Willow
For Liverpool try Tech 9 near the airport (0151 4255 911).

A little further afield would be:
1 9M iin Warrington (07000 930930)
2 Loe Bank Motors near Bury (01706 8260600)
3 Classic Car Workshop in Coppull (01257 471028)

Hope you have success!

I don't mind helping out - I live in Crosby. At least I have learned a few things since I bought mine!!

Cheers
Mark
