hi does anyone have an induction kit fitted im thinking of getting one what are peoples views i had one fitted to my alfa 155 is it a waste of money (i did like the noise)

i was often told by some of the alfa lads that a k & n panel filter in place of the original one was the best way to go but some just got an induction kit for the noise factor alone

I wouldnt bother myself. Id expect to see a reduction in performance as your engine ingests hot air...

haha i have just done a search and come to the same conclusion ill just stick with the standard set up..feel a bit embarrass t for asking now[8|]

The only one ive been considering, mostly to go along with my MAF conversion project is to get a piper cross venom enclosed foam filter with a cold air feed. One of the issues facing a change of anything in the intake/exhaust system for the 944 is that the DME ignores the AFM at high air flow and full throttle. This means it injects based on what the airflow would be on a stock engine at that RPM/Air temp. This will result in some change in AFR, could be better could be worse :D.

I'd say go for it. I have them on both my cars, they're worth it for the noise alone [:D]. I didn't notice any loss of power even during extended track sessions but it's dead easy to pipe in some fresh air if you're worried about that. The engine seems to rev more freely with them, but I'm prepared to accept this could be entirely psychological.
