If you're after a Rubystone RS ...

Ouch - done a really proper job on that .......... ! Passenger compartment looks largely intact so hopefully the driver got out without serious injury.

Martin do you know any details? I can see its got a cage ....is a clubbie? Joking apart, it doesnt look that bad, its clearly been rubbed down the side of a barrier or something. Would be nice to see a pic of the other side, but I wonder if that n/s chassis leg is bent? Even if it is I bet it can be pulled. I'm sure if you took the wings bonnet and front PU off, it would look a whole lot better. What's odd (in a good way) is that the front wheel looks straight and undamaged.

Of course you probably cant see that much from a piccy, and I'm sure it needs a lot of work, but it doesnt look like it couldnt be fixed properly if the right person was inclined.

If it is just front end damage then it looks not too bad. Melv's Cup must have seen action like that in the German Cup! ;O)

Teams used to fix a damage like that overnight and raced the next day... no kidding!

I found a couple of photos of the car when it was for sale in this condition about 2 years ago. After gaining a few details from the guy who was selling it I realised I had seen it a few times at the Ring. It was always being driven reasonably quickly. The guys who I go there with lap around the 8.15 mark and it came past us a few times and within a couple of corners had disappeared!

The car is a Lightweight and did have a cage. It was road registered on German plates. Don't know where it is now though.

I've been thinking about adding a 'damaged' section to the gallery on my website. If anyone has any photos they would be much appreciated.

Ok its looking slightly worse for wear now, must have gone in the tyres for all the scuffng on the panels as opposed to barrier, although I wasnt aware that the ring had tyre barriers?

Still looks repairable.

Damaged section.......hummmmmmm, I dont know. I've seen a lot of internet assassins murder cars on a couple of photos. I know there are photos of mine after a light tap front and back during its time with a belgium trackdayer. Not sure I want them in a gallery of pain. I've not got anything to hide, and have always been honest about the car and its past, and think the pics add to the history file (they are printed in and in with the invoices etc.) but still not sure about in an open gallery.......

Light tap!!! You're 'aving a laugh......[:D]

[:D] no chassis damage, just panels, that's kissing the barrier front and rear. Chassis damage at front was done in Zolder during a race. But it went on to win its class that year.

Did you get my mail Melv?
