Does your Porsche cost as much as your cat to insure ?

Doing the annual budget today(as you do on a rainy Saturday afternoon lol)

i was staggered to find that my two cats cost way more than a Porsche to insure every year.!

CATS £402.00 Porsche £137.00 FC!

If you add a years tax £225.00 and an MOT test £45.00

CATS £402.00 Porsche £ 407.00 ! [:(]

What a crazy World we live in eh..........well thats it..........obviously the Porsche has got to go lol [;)]

I can't afford to insure two elderly dogs, but can afford to insure an elderly car. You're absolutely right! [&o]

You can't "self insure" your car but you could the cats. Put the insurance premium money to one side and use it if/when the cats need you to.

peanut's treatment this year alone has cost over £1800 ![;)]

As such an advanced species ! We are weak ! 2013 people care more for pet animals than they do for other humans !

Insurance company's are quick to milk this human weakness and exploit are hart strings !!!

God help us all as to where this will end ! Cat's and dog's are been treated as Humans ???

I am an animal lover but not a complete fool ! I take the risk of no insurance on pets and if they are ill and I can afford to pay for them treatment , I will .

Annual jabs and kennels whilst we were away on hols. £380 ! That's enough

Do not get emotionally attached , they are now making clones ! Just keep there DNA ready for the next one ;)

When I was 24 (which was not too long ago!) I was shelling out £600 a year on Porsche 944 S2. 4-5 years on I am playing less on the Turbo :).

Ye im only 22 which is why im paying so much, but then I look at it as acceptable compared to what I could be paying on other cars which aren't as nice, fun and generally enjoyable.

I pay £189 for the turbo and nothing for the cats, she has taken them away as part of the divorce[8|]

I've got to be paying one of the most on here for insurance at £700?

Try a quote from RH Classic insurance. Tell them its your second car and you don't do over 5000 miles per year and see what they quote you[;)]

She took the cats and left the Porsche ?...........lucky fella .!

Happy days

joking aside sorry to hear about your divorce . It ain't easy making a new life for yourself

Many years ago my mother told my father that if he bought a Harley Davidson that would be the final straw and that she'd divorce him. Dad thought "Damn! I can't afford a Harley" So he went and borrowed one off a friend, it worked..

My 944 lux is going to cost me £203 for the same cover from the same company who want £353 to cover my 1990 Discovery!

Wish I could but unfortunatly RH Classic wouldn't insure me, its currently my only car and I do about 10k lol.
Hopefully look at a cheap oil burning estate maybe next year as a run around n take the miles off the 944.
