Many of the early adopters will have had their Caymans for over a year now. I was wondering how the car is coping with daily wear and tear.
I've had mine for around 10 months now and it's parked outside exposed to the elements. It's only washed every now and then. My windscreen is peppered with tiny chips and a couple of larger ones that have been repaired. I've got a hairline arc caused by some grit on the drivers side wiper blade that i'm sure will be an MOT failure one day.
The paintwork has stood up to the elements very well. The front bumper has a couple of barely noticeable chips and i've got a strange tiny dent on the drivers-side door sill (that must have been one large stone at high speed!). But apart from that, the paintwork is in excellent condition.
The interior is still in almost perfect condition - nothing is scuffed or has broken off and not rattles to speak of. Just the leather on the drivers seat slightly wrinkled from getting in and out.
All in all, i'm very impressed with the condition of the car after 10 months and almost 10,000 miles. The car is driven hard and I don't really wash and wax it that often.
