How improve the crankcase breather?

Is there a need to improve the crankcase breather on my 924 Turbo series 1? Is it a good idea to connect the breather to a catch tank? Porsche states that they improved the breather on the series 2, and that this (among other improvements) will prolong the life of the turbocharger!!??
 
The best way to protect your turbocharger is to let the engine run for a minute (I make it 2 to be on the safe side) before you turn off the ignition and to use a good synthetic oil and change it regularly. Mineral oils degrade very quickly at the tempratures developed in the 924 Turbo.
