Hi I'm a new member and new to the Porsche fraternity. Looking forward to looking through lots of threads collecting info.

Very recently purchased a 944s 1988 that was a barn find, been there for 7 years. Fresh oil, new fuel pump and filter, flush of the fuel system (check to make sure cambelt good to run) purring like a kitten... Going to recomission over the winter.

One thing a little confusing at the moment. Log book says it 26## cc (sorry can't remember exact figure) not sure but I was under the impression that 944s was only 2500cc ?? Can anybody shed some light on my cc dilemma ??

Thanks all, look forward to chatting soon.

Welcome. The 944S is a twin cam 16V 2.5 engine, while the 2.7L was a single cam 8V...2.7L engine, as JC mentioned above. Are you sure your car is indeed an S?
