Help with missing factory option code

Hi everyone, I've recently purchased a really nice 86 3.2 Carrera Sport Cab. But I have spotted (what I think) is a bit of an oddity. On both the maintenance book and the bonnet lid sticker there appears to be zero printed option except the UK model C16? Now I realise that it might mean its a option less car, but surely it should be on teledials instead of fuchs and not have sports seats? I'm a multiple owner who has a good grasp on options and model years etc and I can't see any evidence that this car has even been 'added to'.

Thanks Peter, but the spec stickers are precisely the same on both the bonnet and page 1 of the service history. Book is fully stamped and all the Provence of the car seems correct going back to the 80s. maybe it’s one of those very strange anomalies that happened with print out at the factory! Every other detail (colour, interior, engine, chassis) code match the car.


Just one more thing to add, even if my car was post spec’d to a sport. It does have the full tonneau option (see pic) which means a lot of extra interior fixtures to accommodate it. Surely if nothing else that would have an option code?

Thanks very much for these codes, much appreciated. It matches what I see in my garage. I just wonder whether Zuffenhausen’s ink ran out on the last line of label printing on New Years Eve 86!

 
As far as being Australian, it was delivered to Monarch Porsche on 20 Jan 86, I thought C16 code is definitive UK spec? Having said that I did buy a 997 Turbo from Porsche Mayfair that was a Cyprus car, only found out after I scrutinised the paperwork

The Oz bit is in reference to your photo..............:rolleyes:

UK cars often have Cyprus code on them for some reason, I think its just the RHD thing

funny! Was a bit slow on that Oz pun. BTW I realised I purchased a few bits for the car a few weeks ago from you, cover, mats and few other bits. Spoke over the phone about the mats arriving later. Also came into your shop when I had the 928 after lockdown 1.

Thanks again for running the VIN, I know that’s a chargeable service. If anyone is still reading the thread ?? for type911
