Help with a 970 or a 981 purchase

Hi folks,

I’m in the market for either a 981 Cayman or Boxster or a Gen1 Panamera.

Incomparable! Other than I really like all 3 options (for varying reasons) and all 3 are in my budget.

I have a 987 at the moment.

Having a drive in a 981, mainly to see if I can live with the ride and to see if I can live with the EPAS, isn’t a major issue, there are a few for sale in Scotland.

It’s much harder to do the same locally with a 970. It’s the facelift 300bhp derv one I’m particularly interested in. Everything I’m looking at is in the south of England.

Does anybody have one in region2 that I could have a good look over? If possible, take me for a short drive too.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I tend to hold onto my cars for a while, and a lot of miles, so I want to make sure it’s the right one for me

Thanks

Dave

Hello Dave,
As joint Regional Organiser I am disappointed you didn't get a response to this as we have plenty 981 Boxsters and Caymans in our Region. Not sure if we have a 970 though Panamera Gen 1 in diesel).

I am keen to get a drive in a manual 981 S or GTS but so far only managed a 981 Spyder which was amazing but outside my budget unfortunately. My ideal car is a 981 GTS manual but they are few and far between.

Where do you live and perhaps I could put a not out to our members on your behalf.

Let me know if you want me to.

Regards
Paul
