Help. In Italy with a squeaky front suspension

2006 Boxter 2.7. I'm in Orvieto, Umbria, Italy with the front suspension and or steering making what sounds like a very dry joint somewhere. Anyone had a similar thing or know of a quick fix, please.
On a positive note, the car's running very well getting between 32.5 & 33.4 mpg. top down most of the time. Seen more Lamboginis & Ferraries than Porsches. Only seen 3 911's all the time been travelling through Italy

Hi, I had a similar experience when touring Germany a couple years ago. It may well be the ball joints on the lower 'coffin' wishbone arms. Most likely the rubber seal is damaged or perished and the joint is dry.
Quick fix is WD40 if you can see a break in the seal. i ran mine for a few days in Germany and repaired it on my return home.

It could just be a noisy strut top mount bearing. Nothing to worry about but as Russ has suggested, a squirt of WD40 or similar might help.

Incidentally, washing up liquid can act as a good lubricant for rubber components.

Both of the above would be my first suggestions too.
We had a really odd one recently and it happened to be the track rod end. Very low mileage car that began squeaking without warning.
