Just a quick note to say Hello to everyone and thanks to the PCGB and all those behind the 3.2 Carrera forum.

As the events assistant for this register I will be posting regularly and hope we can use this forum to coordinate some 3.2 gatherings, all suggestions are very welcome.

So far the first meeting I have organised is a day at JZ Machtech in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire on April 5th, we have a number of people already due to attend and we should have some good cars to look at, including:
3.2 with full Hayward & Scott exhaust system
993 engine in a 3.2 with wide body conversion
3.2 clubsport
3.2 supersport
There will also be BHP runs on the rolling road, 8 places left so be quick if you want one, cost approx £40-50 exact amount to be confirmed shortly.

The next meeting after this will be at Ninemeister where high performance tuning will be the main discussion, this will hopefully be better for those living north of the watford gap.

What about us " taking over" one of the PCGB track days - we should choose one between us and then book en mass - so we can have a good group of there.

I vote for Bedford on July 12th - a very safe track as massive run offs and very few barriers. If anyone wants a preview of the full list of track day dates email me off line - I can attach the file here.

Anyone going to Lemans with the PCGB?? - I am and could do with someone to run down there with, I ge the 8.15 from Dover on Friday 13th, hmmm

Best Regards, Si

Well done Simon - count me in for the Machtech visit and for a go on the dyno ! (v. curious as to what that will reveal) I' ll get the form filled in and emailed to you. Also great idea to kidnap one of the trackdays for 3.2s, Bedford is ideal, i' ve done a corporate day there which was absolutely fantastic (managed to 720 an Exige at about 90mph !).
If you want to take the idea a bit further, one of my mates (an Elise driver, who also happens to be going out with my sister !) is one of the directors of Easytrack, who you might have heard of. Anyway provided we can raise sufficient numbers, it is entirely possible to get a private club day booked through them anywhere that we fancy. They have also just found a new venue where they intend to run tuition days on high speed car control, which looks really interesting and would work out pretty reasonably priced. Let me know if any of this appeals, have a look at the Easytrack.co.uk website (doesn' t seem to be working at the minute though !)to see what they' re about. If there is sufficient interest I' m happy to make an approach to them.

Forgive me if I am wrong but I think that Simon means to " take over" one of the PCGB days.

Bedford is a good one to pick. I confirm, that it is a very safe track with nothing to hit and has big run off areas. Being a Saturday track day it may sell out quickish so maybe we need to get this idea circulated to all register members. Personally, I have already sent my cheques off for Castle Combe on July 3rd and Silverstone on July 25th. Can' t commit to other dates just yet - but I may do Bedford. Anyone put off by the fact that Silverstone is a " full on" GP circuit, should not be. It is nearly as safe as Bedford. Barriers, in most places, seem a long way away from the track and run off areas are mostly big and tarmac. It is my favourite circuit - it really flows in a way that Bedford doesn' t. The lines are more difficult to figure out with multiple curves like Becketts/Magotts and the infield presenting a good challenge.

I will also be at JZM for a dyno pull. See you there.

Hello,

A 3.2 " dominated" trackday sounds like a great idea, I would certainly appreciate the opportunity to compare notes with people who know how to drive our cars. Will try to keep the 12th July free.

Going to take a while to get used to the gadgets on this forum [;)]

You will need to send off your cheque as well as keeping the date free Hugh - unless you just want to have some passenger rides!

Would send my cheque off but the Bedford day doesnt have a price assigned to it. Anyone know if price has been released?

will also go for one of the early castle combe days, I hear the first is booked up alread!
