Welcome Stewart to you and your boy. You are definately in the right place as it sounds as if you may need plenty of advice in the future. I wish you well in the project and hope you are both pleased with the outcome. The S does have a reputation for a lot all go but no show. You really have to rev the nuts off of it to get anything out. But it sounds like a bit of a Father and Son quest and I kind of like that [;)]
 
Just a quick hello from newbie! Bought my son a 944 S as his first car. Something to restore and get him away from the computers. Hopefully get to me some of you some time.
