Heated seats

Where do these pick up their feed for the heating element, is it just the same multi plug that connects for standard power seats and is there an extra relay ?

Cheers, Paul

Same plug. At least it worked for mine.
Seats came from same MY car (even same colour which must help!) so I'd imagine as long as heated seats were an option when yours was ordered you should be fine.
Stick them in you won't look back!

Did late 944's have heated seats ? mines a 944 1989 2.7, cheers, Jinxy

Depends what you mean by late. Mine is a 90 and the car they came from was too. I don't know if the loom for the 2.7 would be as comprehensive as the turbo, it might have been. Equally I imagine you could drop in seats from a 964 or 993. The former are exactly the same and the latter will fit but I don't know about the wiring etc.

Only if the original owner ticked them on the option list........ and paid the premium of course

Yes... when i was looking to buy mine, i missed a black turbo, 89 0r 90 i think which had drivers & passenger heated electric seats & also a friend i know who has a guards red turbo on a 90 has drivers heated seat.

My old S2 had one heated seat (on the passenger side). From what I could tell though, they were not the original seats, with the passenger seat having the rare 10 way? option. Electric lumbar, height, slider, well, you chaps get the picture.

However, I thought my 951 would need them! It is not as cold as you expect inside when compared to the modern Mundaneo Ghia X (where the heater leather seats are mandatory in these conditions). No idea why that is the case (leather quality/wear?).

The wire would think the same 4 all cars, seat and opp spec dropping in well towards the end off the cars build. I found and read others have found wiring 4 electric seats under there none electric seats.

If the wiring plugs are the same u could remove the seat 2 check

My heated seats have (what looks to be) a relay under the seat. I was guessing this was for the heated seats. [8|] Also some of the wiring has a Merc symbol on them. [&:]

Both Merc and Porsche are Stuttgart.

But Mercs three pointed star represents the land, the sea, and the air. So still not sure how they found the way under my seat.
