Heated rear window

I think my heated rear window has stopped working (or at the very least is tired[;)]) what do i check for first?

After that get a multimeter and check for continuity between the two ends of one line, while it is switched on, check every one and if any are broken you can buy some fluid that can fix the break. Halfords should do it.

Anyone got a magic solution for this please? Is there a reliable conductive adhesive or something that'll do the job? It's like driving a van without a working HRW this time of year...

I thought there was a product just for this, seem to remember it in Halfords for some reason.

There is, paintable solder type stuff, designed for repairing breaks in surface mounted HRW`s etc but the issue is sticking it

So now I have no means of connecting strut to window, and apparently soldering the connector back on might result in cracked glass.

Had this same problem back in 2000. Soldered connector back without any problems. Connector has been there 11 years without any problems.

Thanks everyone.

Olli - did you take any precautions before soldering, like warm the glass with a hairdryer or anything? I'm tempted to give this a go.

I've also looked at that Frostfighter stuff and am trying to find a UK stockist.
