Just found this on ebay and wondered if any one has fitted one ?

Not fitted one from these people, but I know of several people who have done the same upgrade. Looks to have the right connections and at a reasonable price - probably not much more than you'd buy the bits for - tempted myself!

Yes, have one fitted from this very seller. Initially it was developed for the early dash cars, I took some dimensions, and they prepared a loom for the later cars, I took my S2 round to them and they fitted it, making notes of how to improve it further (slightly different connectors). Very helpful people, good quality product, and I have no connection other than as a satisfied customer. Does it make a difference? Marginal, but it has been reliable since fitting where-as previously chasing broken wires or cleaning old connectors it seemed like monthly. It also paves the way for heftier bulbs etc. That said I haven't bothered yet, the lights are ok if they are well maintained and the lenses haven't been road-grit blasted. (just fitted another relatively new headlight unit, this time covering in protective film!) Hope this helps, Tref.

It doesn't need an article, you just buy the plastic, cut it to the shape of the lights, and stick it on![;)] Let us get the Dorset region's 10th anniversary celebrations out of the way and then I might have some time to write something.

I was off ebay last year, bought it for myt mk2 golf but never fitted it so put it on the 44 last week all I can tell ya is its a 8000k 35w kit

Anybody tried a projector conversion yet? I think I'll have a go once I put the interior back in.

The colour temp is ridiculous though! Id guess that something closer to 4000 degrees kelvin is ideal - they will look purple! Anything over 5000k (cool light) is blueish.

its not as bad as it looks its a mobile photo and the light I the garage wasn't bright enough to fade the camera

I intend to, but drilling the centre out of a perfectly good new clear lensed lamp is turning out to be a large step to take. Finding the projection lamp to actually fit was far easier. They suit HID lamps too as they use an internal shield to provide the beam cut off.

It looks sort-of alright. My comment was based solely on the stated colour temperature, which is really blue.

This is upgraded headlight (and fog light) bulbs. I've had that loom in my watch list since Tref mentioned it last year - I think I'll pick it up once I've finished a couple of other jobs.

Make sure you get the updated loom if your battery is under the scuttle panel.....
