Headlight Issue

Morning all

I have an intermittent issue with my passenger head light. Sometimes it comes on dim and it illuminates the main beam light on the dash slightly. Other times it's ok.

I had a play about last night and the plug to headlight section of loom seems fine, I assume I will have a slight break or something wrong in the bit of loom that comes up from the crossmember to the plug. The bit that has flexed for 23 years as the headlights come up and down?

Anyone had this before? I assume replacing the wiring on the afore mentioned area of loom is the way to go?

Cheers

Stuart

Had a similar problem with my S2 and your right its the piece of cable that flexes when the light goes up and down, mine snapped just where it disappears into the front section so replacing it was a real pain.

Mine snapped too, I soldered in a new section of cable which I made slightly longer to give it a better bend radius.

Had an issues where my one side would go out when on full beam. Turned out 2 be a brake in the wire. However it was on the left side off the loom where it comes under the front crossmember, ment removing the front bumper, and everything electrical on the left side off the engine bay. Wasn't a quick job. Hopefully yours is easy 2 reach/ find
