Hi where's best place to buy head gasket set from I found site frazerpart Porsche £125 is that cheap

Porscheshop advertise the head gasket set at £109 including VAT, you may find it cheaper still if you shop around. Another supplier to try being Euro Car Parts however there seems to be a problem with their website just now.

Just in case your not aware Porscheshop is an independent supplier of Porsche parts and accessories. They obtain parts in some cases from the original manufactures who supply Porsche and are identical to OEM , they also continue to produce items that Porsche drop from their range on the older cars so are an invaluable supplier to the future of all old Porsche, however to avoid any confusion they are not Porsche OEM.

And they occasionally supply some more dubious kit. My tame mechanic refused to fit the PorscheShop supplied timing belt for my 944 S2. His quote was "where did you get this rubbish from? I'm not fitting that!" It's still available, free to a good home, should anyone want it and have lower standards.

I phoned Porsche thay do head gasket set for £145 total whats with 10% discount is it worth getting from Porsche for an extra £10 ?

It depends.I keep all the bills from Porsche and put them in the service book.They look nice and add up to a scary amount of money.

Yes. If for no other reason than it helps encourage them to keep supporting the old cars. That's something we all need.
