Head Gasket Faliure (red arrows impression)

Hi

4 laps into a track evening at donnington, lost power and a huge plume of steam behind me (944 turbo) Coolant everywhere, mainly from the expansion tank overflow.

We had fitted some mods for this session (4 others this year without problem), so think we added the straw that broke the camels back.

Any suggestions on what else to do whilst i'm doing the head gasket? I'm 99% confident thats the problem but havent really checked much else.
 
It's very, very common for the HG to let go after a few mods have been performed, especially if it's an old (oe even original) head gasket. As long as you switched off quickly you shouldn't have warped the head and a fresh gasket will see you through many more years of fun [:)]
