Being at the end of a 3 year contract with my 981 GTS it was 'make your mind up time' on what to do next recently. I'm pleased to say that I decided to stick with it for the foreseeable future. To that end, yesterday it had a kind of spa day for cars at Nottingham OPC, where it got the 111 point check over, two more years warranty/assist, it's first MOT., an extra oil change and brake fluid change. I'm £2.2k lighter, but very happy. [:)] Will probably buy it some new rears for Christmas, but apart from that we're good to go.

Did have a chat to Martin in sales about the next GT4 (which might be a GT4 RS according to him), and letters of interest were discussed...

Somebody stop me!
 
Stick with the 981 GTS - it's ace [:D]

GT4s are only worth spending the extra money it if you track them IMHO.

 
Sounds like a good move Paul.

Don't hold out much hope for a 982/718 GT4. Most probably you'll be at the bottom of a very long list, especially if you're relying on information from your friendly salesman; who's way off the mark with his GT4 RS comment by the way.

£2.2k it's shocking the running costs of a basic car these days.

there will not be a GT4 RS imo, the next one is due at a guess March 2019 for cars to arrive in winter 2019.

£1750 of that was the 111 point check, 2yr warranty extension and 2yr breakdown recovery - purely optional, and something my mine won't be getting.

So it was £450 for the MOT, oil/filter change and brake fluid change.

Hadn't realised a Cayman GTS was a 'basic' car. Should have saved a fortune and bought a Kia instead. [;)]
