GT4 air filters

I don't track my GTS however I do change my air filters every 2 years. From what I can remember, standard engine air filter change is at the 6 year point, so 3rd service. They are easy to change (once you've done it a couple of times). Just be careful you don't break the air filter housing loops when pulling the filters out.

I bought a pair as have lot of track time(24 days) on the origonal air filters. I'll post a pic or two of the condition when I change them.

Just to explain my approach, for reference...

If the air filters are a 6yr service item, that's in theory 60,000 road miles. I'm assuming Porsche have decided that's OK for the engine, and the GT4 track supplement doesn't recommend earlier changes. For engine oil, the track supplement says an oil change is recommended after 10,000 track miles. I do just under 5,000 road and track miles a year, so even with several track days I'm well, well under the track-specific mileage recommendation.

So rightly or wrongly I just go with the standard service schedule for everything and my engine still feels good to me! :)

Can't say I've noticed any difference after having new air filters fitted in March after 25k+ miles either.....

With you on the oil, plus it gets topups as use about 250ml per trackday. Road driving no oil usage.
Air filters I'm just curious to see the condition & any accumulation of track rubber etc sat in the housings. I'm on just over 14500 miles & at the moment do around 5 to 6000 miles per year.
