Great service from Nottingam OPC

I would like to register my extreme appreciation of the service I have received from the Nottingham OPC.

Last week they collected my car to carry out the Porsche Approved Warranty renewal check and provide a MOT test, together with some repairs to the aircon under the existing warranty.

Unfortunately, whilst returning the car (with all tasks completed), the offside rear wheel must have made contact with a curd, damaging the sidewall of the tyre and the rim of the wheel. I didn't notice this until after I had signed the paper work and the drivers had left....

I anticipated an argument - however, when I contacted them, they apologised and the car was collected from my home on Monday and it was returned today with an imaculate wheel repair and a new Pirreli P Zero Rosso Assimetrico tyre! They left me a brand new Cayman to use while my car was away.

great service or what? I know where it's going for it's next (major) service.

I bought my Boxster S 550 from OPC Nottingham 5 years ago and it's been back to them for every service, (and a couple of minor warranty reapirs), since. I've always found them very helpful, extremely polite and generally a pleasure to deal with.

Sure, you pay the OPC prices for parts and labour, but they're a perfect example of "you get what you pay for".

When I had the 944 I mostly used them for parts. I found them to be pretty competitively priced for the vast majority of parts I needed, always gave me a better than PCGB discount and were all perfectly nice. It is worth shopping around within the OPC network as it is not the case that all OPC's are the same. I could find significant differences in the quotes for parts prices across the network but Nottingham were usually pretty good, only occasionally did I buy from other OPC's and that was ususally because they had more stock of a particular part that they were wanting to shift.

Their prices for servicing doesn't seem that expensive to me based upon what people I know who own other similar prestige cars from other manufacturer's are paying, and considering the longer service intervals on a cost per mile basis they must be pretty reasonable.
