Geo / tracking

I've got my car booked in with RPM in Knaresborough for a full 4 wheel geo/tracking/alignment going over. The car is currently in the process of getting new springs and dampers plus full front and back polybushes.

The cost quoted is £150+VAT.

Is that a reasonable price? I know that potentially a lot of work will go into it but just wanted to check. These guys do seem to know the 944 well and have a god rep.

Sounds fair to me, it would only be too much if you needed no, or hardly any adjustment as I get a full laser geo done and the checking is for free, you just pay per adjustment

Nick and Andy will do a great job , they set up mine and what a difference , I have mine set for fast road use , they set up race cars they look after and sponsor so they do know what they are doing and have a great piece of kit to do the job. It will help if you have an idea how you want it set up.

Thanks all,

The car is being set up for long distance road rallying plus test rallies and special stages. It has a 25mm drop all round and has shed an awful lot of weight. It will be running 195/65/15 tyres for winter rallying and I'm going to ask for a setup to include stable high speed a/b-road blasts as well as a positive and sharp turn-in for tight test stages.

I suspect it will be more or less like a fast road setup as far as can be managed with such skinny and sidewally tyres.

Hmm, Rodders does plenty for the charity but the distance/time of getting there and back is way more than the £70 difference.
