Gearbox oil

Sorry, probably been asked a thousand times but cant seem to get the rearch thingy to work,
Anyone no what grade of gear oil to put in my 1986 2.5 manual gearbox,
i asked my local car parts shop and he gave my ep80/90, but i have seen 75/90 semi synthetic and full synthetic recomended, again. . . .HELP,

The Porsche transaxle specialist I know recommends Castrol Syntrax 75W140. I have been running it for quite some time and have been quite pleased with it.
