Gear stick shift pattern insert

I've replaced the aftermarket gearknob with a genuine item and a new gaiter.

I removed the aluminium shift pattern insert and put it to one side but it has now gone missing, I've looked everywhere and can't find it. My 5 year old girl told me she'd been looking at it but put it back . . . Somewhere!

New ones are £27 so I thought I'd look on PET for a plastic one but they only appear to be available as part of a gearstick.

Does anyone have a part number or a plastic/aluminium insert for sale?

It would seem that Porsche will happily sell you a replacement as long as you don't mind it being attached to £200's worth of replacement gear stick!

I was tidying up my little "angel's" toys and found the shift insert.

In the house.
Up 2 flights of stairs.
In her bedroom.
In a toy kettle.
On the hob of her toy kitchen.

;)

I was once housebound for an entire weekend unable to find my keys anywhere. In desperation we asked my three year old daughter who immediately proceeded to her kitchen, opened the oven, took out a tea set with a pot and four cups and saucers, took the lid off the teapot and produced the keys!

It was my fault for not asking on Friday evening. [:)]

Sounds as good a place as any to keep it safe!

Bet your glad you stopped to make a cup of (I'm guessing imaginary) tea!

ORIGINAL: 944 man

Classic!!

Sounds familiar, I couldn't find my 944 key or garage fob anywhere. Showed the spare fob to my 3 yr old and after a short rummage in his toy box he produced 944 key, garage fob and shed key that he was keeping safe...[:D]
