are they any good?

I just bought a decent second hand linkage, to be honest, pulling the old one apart to fit that would be a pain, had to cut mine off, he linkage that is.

I bought one and it was great but may be worth getting a new circlip as my old one was rusted and seized and was a pain to fit back on properly. A good clean and a bit of copper slip and it was like new

I felt it was worth a punt at the price. But as you've had one Duffman502 I think I'll give it a go.

I rebuilt my gearshift from front to back recently and didn't replace this part as it wasn't worn. However I suspect mine was unusual as several other people have said that theirs was worn, although Rob packed his out with shims (mad from a beer can), moving the point of force from the inside of the part to the end of it and it was fine after that.

As has been said, it would be a real fiddle to change that part without removing the gearbox from the car - which isn't a small job.

Oli.
