After my wows last year with my car being stranded in France when my ECU packed up, and having changed all the sensors, DME, rotor cap, etc, etc as I've got a few Euro road trips planned this year I wonder if it would be advisable to replace the fuel pump.
My rationale being this is probably the only electrical bit I haven't changed and a known weak point on a 30 year old car.
Probably cost around £175 fitted so well worth the piece of mind.
Question: do I go OEM or Bosch 044 which seems to be a popular upgrade?
At the same time I'm changing the fuel tank to a new Dansk 85 litre one I acquired during one of Europoarts mega sales for (£200 all in) once it's under sealed and painted
What do you folks think?
