Fuel flap hinge replacement

My petrol flap hinge has gone so ordered new one from local OPC in WA the revised 997 Pt no. How ever much I try, I have looked at all the videos available and read all articles on removal but I cant get the old one out, it has no tabs at the back, only 1 on 1 side and if you try and release the tabs by putting a screwdriver in the back slots to move the tabs nothing happens. I cant see any tabs at the back anyway. Its an original 2002 hinge so are they different to the ones fitted to later cars or the replacement 997 pt. no. Any help appreciated or I may have to break the old hinge out by removing the flap part form the metal spindle

Why is it that what should be a simple job turns into a nightmare[:mad:] just a thought maybe someone broke the tabs when it was removed for re painting and just pushed it back in!

Thanks Richard but already seen that, mine does not have the tabs shown as "A". I have heard from many sources now that they are a pig to remove. my car had some re spray done some years ago on that side, by Porsche, and probably removed then and maybe the tabs were broken off and the unit just pushed back in after it was done. I may have to cut the hinge spindle out to release the lid and then remove the plastic bits left behind! Will be speaking to my Indie here in WA tonight to see what he says.
