front wiper motor

I have some problems with a noisey front wiper motor, Ive come to the concluesion that I want to replace it......but I do not want another used one only for the problem to happen again? on the US websites this part is $700 so I guess I'm going to pay £300 quid from porsche?

anyone know to a company that will refurbish? or anyone tried to fit the Volkswagon version it looks almost identical but 5 wires not 6 but they are only £30 brand new
 
They usually get water ingress on the outer bearing as the cover that protects it is missing on many cars. It is made of plastic and clips onto the motor housing as the tail of the motor sticks out into the weather past the end of the scuttle panel. The motors may fit the early square dash cars but are different to the oval dashes I think. I may have a good secondhand one here Ken I had got for someones car and never fitted. I can test it tomorrow if that suits?

Cheers, I am going to get a price from OPC tomorrow if I die of shock then I'll have it......if not I will get a new one
