It is with some sadness (but also lots of excitement) that I take my leave of you, having today virtually mortgaged my soul and upgraded to a 997. Thanks to all for your assistance and camaraderie over the last 2 1/2 years and in particular many thanks to Richard for his wisdom and incredibly useful tips which have probably saved me significant amounts of dosh as well. I just hope the 997 lot are as friendly as you guys!

Wishing you continuing joy with your treasured vehicles.

Kind regards

Ellis

More so![:D] May I be the first to welcome you! Which 997 have you bought and when do you collect? Photos?[8D]

Cheers

Well done Ellis. Presumably you have gone for the fastest colour again - silver!

Sad to see you go, but I'm sure you'll enjoy the 997 just as much. The 997 boys are a friendly bunch (but not as friendly as we are [;)]), and I'm sure they'll brief you on the foibles of the 997 - of which there must be a few!

Thanks for the welcome. I collected it from Porsche Centre Leicester today. It's a midnight blue (sorry Richard) C2S Coupe, first registered in June 2005 (which generation is that?) with various bits including sports exhaust. What a nice drive home to London!! Pictures tomorrow!!

Nice upgrade Ellis, I hope the 996 guys don't mind us invading...! [;)]
Your 997 will be Gen1, Gen2 is very recent...

The 996/997 are similar, so I'm sure Richard will be just as useful [:)]

And I phoned Colchester about yours but you had already put down the deposit! Also looked like a lovely car.

Its funny actually as mine plate also starts with AE05...Doesn't that mean they came from the same dealership originally?
