For all you 'ring-goers... and any other interested folk!

Afternoon all, been a while, hope those '44s are treating you well? Hope you don't mind, but I found you generally a friendly lot and thought I may use you as a sounding board? Anyways, to cut a long story short, for those of you who are or would be partial to a 'ring sticker, what do you make of this?

Hi Ben, I think I must have just read your thread on PH about this without realising it was you (funnily enough I thought of you the other day when I saw your old car at a PH event).

The quality of what you're proposing looks great (especially the last one), and I'm sure it'd probably look perfect on the right car. My only concern (apart from copyright that I know you're aware of) is that to my mind it reminds me a little of a certain (80s/90s?) era when car badges were often all black plastic with a silver top. With modern cars badges generally being all chrome (I think) I'm not sure how it would sit against them (I'm guessing the newer car market is probably one of the most lucrative to chase, but that may not be the case???).

Hi Peter, the old girl is looking great isn't she?! Did you speak to Dunners who is her current custodian? Couldn't have gone to a nicer chap so I'm pretty pleased. I did wonder if some on here might also see my PH post - my goodness there are some numptys on there though aren't there?! Understand what you're saying, don't think it would be an issue to get them done fully in chrome? Mixed reactions on PH, I'm still in two minds as to whether or not to go for it - need to get permission from the 'ring folks first anyway!

Hi Ben, I didn't get to speak to the owner but did post someone else's pic of the car in a thread I started about the Sunday Services. Re the badges I suppose it depends upon the cost/profit really, there seem to be many ways to buy that logo but yours is very distinctive, so can hopefuly find a good niche. I certainly wish you good luck if you give it a go (as long as the profits are put towards buying another 944 of course [;)]).
