Foot well leak...

We had a little bit of rain yesterday and over night, and this morning I noticed a small puddle in the passenger footwell. It seems to be dripping from above. [&:]

I had to drop the car off at a garage for a cam belt this morning so I didn't have chance to investigate thoroughly. Are there any common things I should be checking to find/cure the source of the drip when I get the car back?

PS: This has lovely symmetry with when I first got the Rover. That cars boot was filling up with water everytime there was a shower! Hopefully this will be just as easy to trace/fix.
 
First places to look: Scuttle drains and sunroof drains, and around battery tray on Series One cars. Windscreen fitting, rear quarterlights and door drain holes. That's a start! [&:]
 
Can leak water in through from the engine bay behind the bulkhead where the heater motor is fixed particularly if the area around the wipers etc is full of leaves and debris. The water can build up and enter either from a bad heater motor seal or missing bolt. Also check the drain holes from this area into the main engine bay as they clog up.
 
Cheers guys. I'll have root around the car tonight to see if I can fix it before the rain come again!
 
Looks like the drip is coming from the battery tray. It's full of leaves and theres a set of wires for the alarm that go trough a grommeted hole in the battery tray. By the ammount of silicone sealant in this area I'd say this leak has been noticed before!

...I'll have a look through the history to see if this had been recorded before.
