Foglights

Got a stone chip in one of my front foglights. Is it possible to buy just the clear plastic lens for foglight or is it a whole new unit jobby? I fear the latter as no-one seems to sell foglight lenses. Shame the stone chip wasnt two inches to the right and I could have just bought a new indicator lens instead!

Hi, No you have to buy a complete unit, changed mine last year easy to do got them from Jasmine Porshalink for 116 +VAT each, was the cheapest around at the time.[:)]

You really need to buy a pair though as if you only buy one it'll look much fresher than the one on the other side. Alternatively you could always buy a used one. They do come up on ebay from time to time from around £40 or so.

The lenses are glass and are glued to the units therefore not available separately. The new lights are about £140 if you get yourself a bit of discount at the friendly OPC. As said best bought in pairs as new ones look considerably fresher than used ones.

I have the same problem with the offside lens. According to Design 911 ([link=http://www.design911.com]www.design911.com[/link]) there is a replacement lens which involves putting the unit in the oven at 200 deg F for 10-12 minutes. Has anyone tried this?
