Can anyone loan me one? Will leave a deposit with you and of course I'll pay rental charges! No idea what I was thinking with other thread, tools needed for belt job. Started that after reading clarks garage guide too! What a willy. Anyway if someone is willing to loan me one, or if there's anywhere to get one (nothing on ebay) that would be great. Thanks

I believe the Porsche Club has one to borrow for free. Maybe time to become a member? [;)]

You can do the belts without the locking tool mate. Just make sure you are number 1 TDC when you start and finish.

Go on you tube type in "changing water pump for 944 S2" and there is a german guy who has posted 3 videos about changing water pump and belts. He uses an allen key to lock the crankshaft. Its the method I used and was effective.

Really should do this, although I've thrown a bit too much cash at the 944 this month, got to save a few quid now!

I'm changing the water pump and pulleys and seals so I need to get the front pulley off, sadly.
