First Lap of Silverstone's New F1 Circuit....

Managed a cheeky lap of Silvers new F1 circuit yesterday.......

Apparently it will be the longest and quickest circuit on the bike calendar this year.....[:eek:]
 
the loss of bridge is shame, thats a cracking corner, I wonder it will still suit the RS as well then, or is it getting a bit quick!
 
The first race to be held on the new Arena Circuit will be the FIA GT race to be held on 1st & 2nd May.This will be part of the Silverstone Supercar Race meeting which will have races for GT1, GT2 and GT3.It could be the first time the new Porsche 911GT3R will have raced in UK. I am at present arranging infield parking there for our Porsches and discounted entry tickets. More info soon.
 
Definitely interested in the GT race, Robin, and want the attend the Carrera Cup rounds there too this year.

Not entirely lost -I hope to drive the Historic GP cct in July with Goldtrack, should be even quicker when it avoids the 90 degree left at Farm !!
 
I will post information here as soon as the details are finalised. I understand that so far three Race Teams will be racing the new 911 GT3R, to date these are Trackspeed, Prospeed, and Muhlner. I would be keen to hear if there are any others ? anyone know ?

On a serious note, the surrounding road are absolutely filthy with all the work that's going on.

I've been harping on for years at Melindi to use the Histo GP circuit but apparently they aren't allowed to use it as it's too fast? Well, that was I was told anyway....
