First Impressions

My Carrera S arrived last Friday, couple of weeks earlier than expected. Spec is as follows

Midnight Blue
Stone grey leather
Manual
Carrera classic wheels
Adaptive sports seats
Heated seats
Sunroof
Sat nav
CD changer
Self dim mirrors
Rear Wiper

Compared with the 996 C4 first impressions after 300 miles are

Much more interior space
Adaptive seats extremely comfortable, I am a bit lardy so the previous sports seats were rather tight.
Ride on regular suspension setting much more compliant and in adaptive mode not unbearably harsh.
Turn-in and general handling appear more positive although no hard driving as yet.
Steering feels different, not better or worse.
Steering wheel is no problem, I don't rest my fingers on the spokes but on the rim grips.
I choose the Carrera Classics as I feels the standard items look rather clunky.
Sound system is as good as the previous upgrade.
Sat- Nav I'm going to sign on to a training course !!!
Different sound, less road/tyre roar although a more sporting exhaust note would be good.

All in all a great step forward from the 996 and I enjoyed that enormously. The only upset has been the appalling trade- in value offerred by the OPC.
