one of the radiator fans (passenger side) seems reluctant to turn off. Does anyone know if it is operated by a switch, where will I find it and is it an easy DIY job?

Does your car have aircon? If so, the fan will run continuously whilst the aircon is switched on (or thinks it is switched on).

Or the switch that controls the fans atop the radiator has gone teets up, common fault.

thanks. Is there one switch to run both fans? I've had a look and the switch on the passenger side fan looks pretty tricky to get to.

Yep, temp switch controls both fans 1 at ? temp then the other one kicks in at ? temp cannot remember of the top of my head, simple job but awkward, if that makes any sense, its just a screw in thermometer but bloody awkward to do.
