A few car related events that you may wish to consider this summer, as a family day out. Both are suitable for spouses, partners and children. Neither are officially on the PCGB events calendar but you can book your car to take part as an individual, you don't have to do it as part of a club booking. I have been to both before and recommend them.

Bidford Classic Wings & Wheels 26th May

If you are interested in classic cars and aeroplanes this event attracted over 150 cars and 20 planes last year. Held at Bidford Airfield in the Cotswolds, entry is free but they asf for contributions to Acorns Childrens Hospices.
Visit www.bidfordgliding.co.uk/images/pdf/Wings%20and%20Wheels%202014.pdf for more info.

Gloucester Motor Show, 7th & 8th June
Held at Highnam Court near Gloucester over 2 days, this is for modern, classic and vintage cars and in addition includes fashion shows, cookery demonstrations, craft stalls and that kind of thing, plus you walk round the extensive gardens that surround this stately home.
Visit www.gloucestershiremotorshow.co.uk/index.php for details, and email robinclassiccars@hotmail.co.uk if you wish to display your car, which is free of charge.

Pershore Plum Festival 25th August 2014
The whole of Pershore is devoted to the plum festival, with stalls, a farmers market, live music etc., and a very large car display in the abbey grounds. The cars displayed are mostly classics and vintage, anything up to the mid 1990s seems OK
Visit www.pershoreplumfestival.org.uk for information and email briansclassics@yahoo.co.uk for a car display form. It costs £3 to display your car, but if you haven't got a classic or vintage just go along and park in the public car parks.

I plan to be at Pershore, but probably not Gloucester as it clashes with something else that I have said I would do.
