Exhaust modification on a 992 GTS

Very pleased with the 992 GTS (2023 MYR) and also v happy with its performance. Plenty of power and excellent brakes. One minor niggle is the exhaust (rather quiet).
Happened to come across DMS Automotive yesterday and they suggest "ECU tuning before you fit any other parts". I am waiting for a GTS video clip to be forwarded.
Anyone here with a UK road legal recommendation / experience? I don't really need any extra power - is ECU tuning therefore a fair suggestion and will it provide better audio?
Warranty is also a consideration. Their claim is "not had tuning detected on a single Porsche in 27 years".
Many thanks.

Any mods you make may have warranty implications - even more stringent conditions apply when your dependent on Extended Warranty further down the line.

I have a quick, simple and totally reversible mod which will give you more noise - just recently developed and tested on a 1000 mile European trip. If you’re interested give me a shout- see 992noise.com

Thank you Futie, much appreciated. It's the warranty implications that is holding me back at the moment.

Same with me. That's why I created this little gadget. 5 mins to plug in, 5 mins to unplug later. Certainly would be detectable if you turned up to a dealer with it plugged in! But when removed, the car is just back to normal.

Checked the link and I am intrigued by this product.

1. Do you have a video of before and after, for comparison?
2. What is the impact on fuel consumption of driving around with this device i.e. akin to flaps / valves open as I understand it?
3. Where are you based?

Many thanks

Hi all, my sincere apologies for completely ignoring this thread!

I am not great with video's I'm afraid. I've only managed to coerce one of my sons to take an 'after' video which you find on 992noise.com but I will see if I can do a before/after now the weather is a little bit brighter. If there's anything specific you want to hear, let me know.

I haven't noticed any impact on fuel consumption if I'm honest. I've had the kit installed for a few months now. Usual stuff - the correlation is more with the amount of lead in the right foot ..

I'm based in Surrey but have shipped the kit to west coast US as well as all over the UK.

Just the usual comparison of the exhaust running and throttle being applied in "normal" and "sports" mode - (a) without, and then (b) with the little gadget. Thank you.
