Exhaust advice

Finally after other house priorities should have enough funds for a new Sports silencer for my 88 3.2 Carrera. Already have a sports cat by-pass pipe ready to fit at the same time. My first question is do i need to fit a new chip or a re-map? Secondly does anyone know any good exhaust suppliers in the NW. Thinking of going to JP in Macclesfield. Any thoughts appreciated.
 
Have a look at the other posts on exhausts over the last couple of months. Have a look at the M&K muffler and import one from the US - its cheaper than buying local.

Yes, you want a rechip to get the most benefit. Again, look at the recent dyno day threads. Consistent 10hp gains with Steve Wong chips are showing up on the dyno. Its not much but its the best you can do without spending a fair bit more money.
