I've received a query from a member.
He has had a Boxster before - a 986 2.7 on 17" wheels fitted with Michelins.
Now has a 987 S on 19" wheels with Contis.
The tyrewear is almost twice the rate - 22,000 miles on the 986 rears, 13,000 on the 19's.
Has anyone else experienced markedly higher tyrewear on the 987? Or is it a function of the larger wheel sizes?
I am aware that 997's on Michelins have been experiencing high wear - but I thought that this was mainly due to the tyres, and that Michelin are investigating?
