The Porsche Club 992 Register’s Derbyshire Drive was a standout event, bringing together 17 Porsche 992 cars and 27 members for a day of driving, scenery, and camaraderie.

The day began at Denstone Hall Farm Shop and Café, where members gathered for breakfast and coffee. With anticipation building, it was the perfect relaxed start before heading out.

The convoy then set off into the White Peak region of the Peak District, covering around 52 miles of sweeping bends, rolling countryside, and picturesque villages—ideal terrain for showcasing the 992’s capabilities. A mid-morning stop at Chatsworth Farm Shop & Café provided refreshments and a chance to admire the cars in a stunning setting.

The afternoon route took drivers into the more dramatic Dark Peak. Highlights included the descent through Winnats Pass, offering a memorable drive between towering limestone cliffs, followed by the iconic Cat and Fiddle Road. Despite average speed cameras, members enjoyed the flowing roads and expansive moorland views. The route continued through The Roaches, providing a fitting end to an exhilarating drive.

The day concluded at Country Kitchen Café for a late lunch. With stories shared and smiles all round, the event was clearly a success.

Blessed with favourable weather during the morning drive, but a little inclement weather in the afternoon, excellent roads, and strong attendance, the Derbyshire Drive captured everything that makes Porsche Club events special—a memorable experience for all involved.
