Engine

Evening all

I have just purchased myself a really clean and well maintained 2.7 944.
One problem the engine is kurput!
So i have checked all the obvious places but wondered if you guys knew of anywere to try, or know of a good 2.5 engine?

Assuming that the car is worth repairing, i.e. bodywork is exceptionally good, you don't mind losing money etc., then look for an engine from one of the people listed in the faqs. Elliot would be a good starting point.

Sadly the cars are worth so little that you would get more from selling a decent interior than you would pay for a car with a knackered engine. Hopefully this will be a story of a car rescued, not another car scrapped!
 
She will be rescued! the car is in fantastic condition top and bottom! the previous owner owned it for many tears, and what ever it needed it had! just needs an engine, some brakes, mot and tax and a bloody good clean, and it will on the road and track!
 
Always good to hear one is being saved, but to save you the hassle of changing more than just an engine, I'd stick with swapping like for like and drop another 2.7 in there.

Elliot is a well respected breaker and if the 2.7 engine is good you should go for it [:D]
